Ecosystem Simulation
How to play:
· Define the initial poblation of organisms and predators, and other statistics.
· Press Start.
· Watch them evolve.
· You can change the time scale in-game.
· You can also change the food per second and the world size (these will have a direct impact in the ecosystem).
· Click on the screen to spawn some predators! (left click -> male, right click -> female)
· Play with all mentioned till you get a stable ecosystem! Have fun!
Observations:
· More food => more organisms.
· Less food => less organisms => increases hunger resistance
· Large world size => more difficulty findinding food or reproduce=> increases vision range.
· Small world size => easy to find food or reproduce => vision range decreases.
· More predators => Life expectancy decreases.
· Too many predators => total extinction.
· Too few predators and too much food => organism overpopulation.
Color meaning:
· Their color specifies their gender.
· Red color means hunger.
· The alpha of the color means the remaining life time.
Author comments:
· This simulation is a prototype without any real data or scientific rigor.
· Soon will be added the option to modify the statistics of the organisms and predators (speed, range of vision, hunger, etc).
